Mike Bechard and Sharon Good of Lone Wolf Clubhouse presenting David Bishop (Chairperson – Windsor-Essex Chapter of the MS Society of Canada) with a cheque for $3802 raised in the 1st annual Ride for MS on Sept 20 2009.

On behalf of the MS Society of Canada (Windsor-Essex Chapter) Board Members and Chapter Members alike, I wish to give a “SPECIAL” thank you to the Lone Wolf Clubhouse, Stars of the Game (Rob Delicata), Viscount Custom Cabinetry (Morris Viscount) and all those who participated in the Ride for MS - Poker Run, on Sunday, September 20, 2009!  What a wonderful day this was!

This event, in its 1st year made an amazing $3,802.00 dollars which will be used to assist those with MS in a number of ways; assistance with the purchase of much needed assistive devices and a host of special programs that will enhance the quality of their lives!  There were many that raised funds for us by collecting pledges, by participating in the fun and games of the day and riding on a fantastic ride throughout Essex County, all for a good cause!  Each and every one of you was a key to making this event the success that it was!  KUDOS to all of you!

We look forward to working with you, in the future, to make this event an Annual Event and welcome each and every one of you as Friends of the MS Society of Canada.

Yours Truly,
Shar Good - MS Society of Canada (Windsor-Essex Chapter)
Board of Directors, Director of Communications and LWC Member at Large

Organizers of the 6th Annual Humane Society Poker Run  raise $1614

D’Arcy, Cheryl and Mike, what a great comeback year! Thank you all so much for all of the time and effort you put into coordinating this annual event on our behalf.

Everything ran extremely smoothly and all of the participants seemed to enjoy the day – thank you weather gods! As D’Arcy mentioned, a total of $1,614 was donated to the Humane Society as a result of your planning and execution of the event – thank you!

I am also pleased that you have decided to dedicate future runs to Stan Kuron’s memory – he must have been a very special man and very much loved by his riding friends. We will be honoured to have his name associated with ours at future runs.

So, congratulations on an extremely successful event this year, and I look forward to being more involved in helping next year.

Sincerely,
Julie Bortolotti
WECHS- Development Officer
